What we stand for
Three words, proven every week
Solidarity
Together we are stronger. By supporting each other we build a society where everyone feels seen and valued.
Integration
We support your career and social development, so you can find your place with confidence and make the most of your talents.
Inclusion
We work towards a Netherlands where everyone, whatever their background, can fully take part and excel.
Our programme
Two ways to join in
- Running now
Connecting through Maths — VvW
An initiative for and by newcomers. Experienced volunteers support newcomer teenagers with tutoring and homework guidance in secondary school.
More about VvW - Coming soon
Newcomers in Motion — NkB
Moving and avoiding stress are important parts of a healthy lifestyle. We bring newcomers and volunteer sports buddies together to exercise, talk and learn more about their surroundings.

More about Talent to Work
Our approach
Together we can!
- 01
Who are you?
We look at your core values together. That is how we discover what drives you, what your ambitions are and what motivates you.
- 02
What do you want?
Together we explore what you want to achieve, what gives you energy and what you want to spend your time on. That creates direction and balance.
- 03
What can you do?
What can you already do, where does your strength lie, and what do you want to develop? Mapping your possibilities builds a strong foundation.

Rooted in Twente
We work in a region that knows what starting over means. Three Twente words we put into practice every Sunday.
Noaberschap
In Twente you help your neighbours without being asked. Our volunteers do exactly that — with a calculator and a pot of coffee.
From textile town to knowledge city
Enschede grew on textiles and reinvented itself as a city of education and technology. Our students do the same, on a small scale.
’t Kump goud
Twents for: it'll be fine. Not an empty promise, but what a student says about the next test after ten Sundays.
What our students say
“VvW creates a safe and active environment for students to learn and study, while that can be harder at home because of a lack of motivation and all the distractions. From year 1 onwards, students get help with schoolwork and develop skills like planning and learning how to learn. Older students in particular are open to sharing their knowledge and experience.”
SemihAlumnus “The atmosphere is really nice and friendly. Being together with your friends motivates you to study better. The teachers are very kind and good at their subjects. We go bowling, laser gaming and do other fun activities together.”
Osman K.Alumnus “The tutors really take their time with you, and you notice they want you to get it. If I don't understand something, I can always ask. That really helps me understand the material better and be prepared for tests.”
LeylaAlumna “I found VvW educational and fun. I learned a lot of new things and it was nice to work together. VvW helped me get better at dealing with other people.”
