Alumni
Once TEA, always TEA
Did you take part in Verbinding via Wiskunde before? Then you belong to a growing group who know what it is like to be new here — and to make it anyway. Our alumni network keeps that group together.
Why a network
What's in it for you
Stay in touch
With your old group, your tutors and former students now studying or working in Enschede and beyond.
Become a mentor
You know better than anyone what it feels like to walk into the first year with a different mother tongue. One Sunday a month is enough.
Share your story
A guest lesson, a portrait on the site or fifteen minutes about your study choice: for the current group that is worth gold.

What we're building
The network in progress
- Alumni list
- A private contact list, only for former students and tutors.
- Reunion day
- One Sunday a year when the old and the new group meet each other.
- Mentor track
- Former students who want to tutor get a short introduction and a regular student.
From former students
What they say
“VvW creates a safe and active environment for students to learn and study, while that can be harder at home because of a lack of motivation and all the distractions. From year 1 onwards, students get help with schoolwork and develop skills like planning and learning how to learn. Older students in particular are open to sharing their knowledge and experience.”
SemihAlumnus “The atmosphere is really nice and friendly. Being together with your friends motivates you to study better. The teachers are very kind and good at their subjects. We go bowling, laser gaming and do other fun activities together.”
Osman K.Alumnus “The tutors really take their time with you, and you notice they want you to get it. If I don't understand something, I can always ask. That really helps me understand the material better and be prepared for tests.”
LeylaAlumna “I found VvW educational and fun. I learned a lot of new things and it was nice to work together. VvW helped me get better at dealing with other people.”
