How it works
From sign-up to study day, step by step
What happens after you sign up your child, how the portal works and which arrangements apply. Most steps come with a short video (with Dutch captions).
For families
How it works for parents and students
From the first form to tutoring on Sunday. Everything you do in the portal works on your phone.
- 1
Step 1
Sign up
You sign up your child with the form on our website, or with the link we send you. You fill in the details of your child and the parents.
- 2
Step 2
Getting to know you, and placement
A coordinator contacts you, looks at what your child needs together with you and places your child in a group. Brothers and sisters are linked to the same family automatically.
- 3
Step 3
Logging in to the portal
You receive an invitation by email. There is no password: each time you log in, you get a 6-digit code by email.
- Never share that code with anyone.
- Tick ‘Stay signed in on this device for 90 days’ so you don’t have to log in again every time on your phone.
Logging in for the first time - 4
Step 4
Signing the registration
The first time you log in, you read and sign the registration agreement. One parent is enough. Prefer paper? That works too; the coordinator then adds the signature to the portal.
- Without a signature, no tutoring can be requested yet.
Signing the registration agreement - 5
Step 5
The portal on your phone
Put the portal on your home screen as an app and turn on notifications. Then you hear right away when a study day is cancelled or your tutoring is confirmed.

Step 6
Every Sunday: the study day
Your child works in a fixed group with teachers and volunteers. Can your child not come one week? Report it in the portal.
- You can report an absence until Sunday 10:00.
- Tutoring on that Sunday is cancelled as well.

Step 7
Requesting tutoring
Need help with a subject? Request a 45-minute tutoring session with a teacher of your choice. Your spot is held right away and on Saturday you hear whether it goes ahead.
- Requests are open from Monday 19:00 to Friday 23:59.
- A second session on the same day is possible from Wednesday 19:00.
- There is no tutoring for the Cito group.

Step 8
Activities
Trips, sports and workshops are in the calendar. You sign up your child and, if needed, give permission straight away.
- Full? Then you go on the waiting list.
Calendar and activities - 9
Step 9
An account for your child (optional)
Want your child to request tutoring themselves? Create an account for your child. If your child is under 16, you give permission for this. You can always withdraw it.
An account for your child - 10
Step 10
Attendance and progress
Under ‘My children’ you see which Sundays your child attended; under ‘Tutoring’ you find a short note from the teacher after each session. At the end of the year you can download a certificate of participation.
